I was tasked with creating a website that would promote the cyclocross race series, provide the weekly series schedule, the daily schedule, and inform racers of the rules and expectations.
I made a custom design, and wrote an event management plug-in from scratch (WordPress, HTML, CSS, PHP) that displays event info, warns about impending price increases, and expires old events, as well as providing links to race results.
I wrote a simple CSS filter for the daily schedule to make it easier for a potential racer to understand which category they may want to participate in.
On the back end I added analytics and some tag manager functionality to track certain events to better understand how users were interacting with the site.
Much of the copy was also written by me.
