On the Rivet was a board game I developed and designed to enlighten players on the strategy of road racing. It’s a semi-cooperative game where players work together to conserve energy, take risks to gain advantages, then break alliances in an attempt to get their team to cross the finish line faster.
It weathered its initial failed Kickstarter and, after further development and promotion, was successfully funded on the second attempt.
Among the more innovative features was the unique way in which the race course map could be linked together using bicycle chain links.
